How is testosterone prescribed and administered?
The provider selects the medication, formulation, dose, and administration plan for the individual patient. Testosterone is a Schedule III controlled substance, so we require an appropriate clinical evaluation and laboratory review before making a treatment decision. Payment does not guarantee a prescription or a particular formulation or dose.
Can I do TRT by telehealth in North Carolina?
Testosterone may be prescribed through telehealth when legally permitted and clinically appropriate. You must be physically located in North Carolina when care is provided. A live clinical evaluation is required, and some patients may need additional testing or an in-person examination.
