Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 13, 2026
You can use our website and contact our office with optional cookies and embedded content turned off.
This policy covers https://trt-nc.com, operated by Carawan Health PLLC. Read it with our Privacy Policy. The patient portal and other websites you visit through links have their own privacy practices.
What are cookies and local storage?
Cookies are small files a website can save in your browser. Local storage is another way to remember information on your device. We use local storage to remember your privacy choice. It is not a patient record and contains no medical information.
What this website uses
Essential preference storage
Provider: TRT-NC. Name: trtnc-cookie-preferences. Type: browser local storage.
Stores whether you allow optional external media, when you made that choice, and the preference version. We honor the choice for up to 180 days, then ask again on your next visit. You can clear the stored record at any time through your browser’s site-data controls. It is stored only after you make a choice and is used for privacy preferences.
Optional external media: Google Maps
The map on the Contact page loads only after you allow optional external media. Once loaded, Google receives information such as your IP address and browser details and may read or set cookies. Cookie names and duration can vary with Google’s service, your browser, and your Google settings.
See Google’s cookie information and Google’s Privacy Policy for its purposes, storage periods, and controls. The office address and a link to directions remain available if you decline the embed. Opening the directions link takes you to Google’s website.
Advertising and browser analytics
We do not currently run advertising pixels or browser analytics on this website. If we introduce optional tracking, we will update this policy and the consent controls before enabling it.
Other connections your browser makes
The website is delivered through Netlify. Page delivery and security can generate server logs containing connection details; rejecting optional content does not prevent these essential requests. Our typography currently loads through Google Fonts, which receives connection information when your browser requests the font files. The external-media preference controls the map, not these font or hosting requests.
Our shirt page may request its product catalog from our Google Firebase service. If you submit a shirt request, that service receives the details you provide to fulfill the request. Links to scheduling, the patient portal, and other external sites take you to separate services; this website’s cookie choices do not manage those services.
Your choices
- Reject optional: leaves optional external media off and remembers that choice.
- Accept optional: allows the optional Google Maps embed.
- Manage preferences: lets you select or turn off optional external media, then save your choice.
You can reopen Cookie settings in the footer of any page to change your choice. Turning off external media removes the map and prevents it loading on future visits while that choice is active. It does not delete cookies Google already stored; use your browser’s cookie controls or Google’s privacy controls to remove those.
Your choice applies to this website in the browser and device where you made it. If you clear site data, use another browser, or the choice expires, we will ask again. If storage is blocked, your selection can apply to the current page but may not be remembered. With JavaScript disabled, optional embeds remain off.
